Acceptance
By installing the Collect Detect Chrome extension or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Collect Detect.
Account Requirement
A free account is required to use Collect Detect. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms. We offer optional paid plans that unlock additional features. Paid plan pricing and features are described on our pricing page.
Data Collection & Aggregate Data
By using Collect Detect, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to collect, store, and use anonymized data generated through your use of the extension, including card lookup activity, listing sightings, cert verification events, deal scores, and price observations. This data is aggregated and stripped of personally identifiable information before any use or sale. We may license or sell this anonymized aggregate data to third parties. Your personal information (name, email) is never included in any data sold or shared with third parties.
Extension Usage Rules
Collect Detect is a personal, non-commercial tool for individual use on eBay. You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the extension outside of normal browser use
- Use the extension in automated pipelines, bots, or scripts
- Attempt to circumvent any rate limits or access restrictions on our API
- Use the extension in any way that violates eBay's terms of service
- Use the extension to build a competing product or service
Pricing Data Accuracy
Price estimates and deal scores provided by Collect Detect are for informational purposes only. They are derived from third-party sources (PriceCharting, eBay sold listings) and may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect. Do not rely solely on Collect Detect data when making purchasing decisions. We are not responsible for any financial losses resulting from the use of our pricing information.
No Warranty
Collect Detect is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that results obtained will be accurate. Your use of Collect Detect is at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Collect Detect and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the extension or this website, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Intellectual Property
All code, design, branding, and content in the Collect Detect extension and website are owned by Collect Detect and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The "Collect Detect" name, logo, and visual identity are our trademarks. Card names, images, and game content belong to their respective publishers and are used for identification purposes only.
Paid Plans and Refunds
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually depending on your chosen plan. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of your billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Collect Detect for any user who violates these terms, with or without notice. You may stop using Collect Detect at any time by uninstalling the extension.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as our services change. Continued use of Collect Detect after an update constitutes acceptance. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.
